Personally, I am not a fan of clone houses. I find them uninspired, and only well-versed in chromatography techniques. Still, I was tempted to try, by the community universally loved, Khamrah.
As typical with Arabic fragrances, the presentation was nice. The bottle is well-designed and heavy, and the liquid has a whiskey-like brown color. Unfortunately, Khamrah didn't work well on my skin. At the initial spray everything was perfect. I was surrounded by the beautiful aroma of sweet apple pie with cinnamon. The cozy smell of a warm strudel in autumn.
However, after about 10 to 15 minutes everything dissipates. The strudel was gone and a strong sweetness mediated by dates and flowers took over. Khamrah became annoyingly sweet and more feminine on my skin. The sweetness lingered for an hour, and then the whole composition practically collapsed, leaving only strong and sweet synthetic ambroxane.
Khamrah started very promising and ended in a dull ambroxane fade. Still, I should point out that this strange behavior was possibly due to my skin chemistry or I received a bad batch. Khamrah is a big let down for me, and I hope our paths don't cross in the future.
