Scentrack: Nas – Memory Lane (Sittin' In Da Park)
The company of Jeanne En Provence was a mystery to me. Apparently, they are under Jeanne Arthes and situated in Provence. Their fragrances are extremely cheap, and they have very interesting compositions, still, my expectations were pretty much low. While Acqua fulfilled my low expectations, Bois d’Olivier & Cade was a pleasant surprise.

The perfumer behind the scent is Jean-Pierre Bethouart, a well-known name in the industry. The composition opens with sweet, fruity tones. Candied lemon peel and apple give a Christmas fruit tea vibe. Underneath this festive accord, a classic French lavender is hidden with a pinch of sweet jasmine. Woody notes emerge soon after the fruity-floral symphony. However, I do not detect a strong and rubbery note of Mediterranean cade, and I am not familiar with the note of olive tree. All I can get is a touch of juniper with pale sandalwood traces. Hence, in my opinion, the name is quite misleading. Apple & Woods seem more justified.
The only
downfall is the performance. Still, it is quite normal for a fragrance of this
price range. If you are on a budget, Bois d’Olivier & Cade is the right choice
for you. Excellent value for money and
this festive Christmas time of the year. Merry Christmas to all 😊

Verdict
Great
value for money. Level-up compared to a dozen recently released. Cheerful, honest, and
gorgeous Christmas-time fragrance.
It also reminds me of The Scent by Hugo Boss. Nice review, as always!
